V Pack | Chevron Seal – ES, EKV, EK, K01, ESV, TFW, DMS, VPS
Chevron packing seals | V packing seals | V packs are highly adaptive sealing products of low to high standard rubber, resin cloths which consist of many “V” / U shaped lip seals that have been stacked vertically.
They are assembled in between a reinforced / PTFE / PU / Metal / etc backing ring to assist with extrusion resistance. Such packing seals imposing a transverse strain and energizing the packing by impart axial squeeze on it.
One important benefit of the vee packing is that it can operate under any mechanical situations. “V” shaped rings can be one or more as per requirement. These V shaped intermediate rings are tapered to snap-fit the housing during installation, thus they provide a good seal even at low pressures.
Operating Capabilities
- They can operate at a pressure up to 6000 psi.
- The operating temperature is in the range of 10 to 150 degree Celsius depending on the material of vee packing.
- Reciprocating speed differ with the material in use.
